This product really brightens whites!

I like this even better than the Classico (yellow) Lirio bar, the fragrance is very nice, and it is very effective. I let it dry out for weeks before rubbing it across a grater, then it falls to powder, I use about a teaspoon or so of that powder in my washing machine, depending on the dirtiness of my wash, you don't need to see loads of suds. You can also just rub the bar onto the visible dirty spots once you've soaked your wash, or toss the bar into the machine until the amount of soap dissolved in the water is sufficient for you (put it in an old nylon stocking leg with a knot tied in - secure the knot around something, so you can find the bar easily to remove it).

You can add washing soda to improve performance, plenty of recipes out there for that, and this laundry soap bar would be excellent in any of those 'home made laundry detergent' formulations, but I would recommend not using it in the wet formulations, as those lose effectiveness over time because of the water in them.
