Founded in San Diego, California, MexGrocer began with a clear mission: to make hard-to-find Mexican ingredients and specialty products accessible throughout the United States. More than 25 years later, we proudly offer a curated selection of over 2,000 products, ranging from nostalgic candies and pantry essentials to kitchen tools and cultural favorites, shipping across the U.S. and Canada.
MexGrocer.com was founded by Ignacio Hernandez and his son Nacho.
Ignacio brings more than 30 years of experience in the Mexican food industry and the Hispanic market. Mr. Hernandez was a senior executive and member of the founding family of Herdez, Mexico’s leading food processor and home to iconic brands such as Herdez, Doña María, Bufalo, and McCormick.
During his tenure, he founded and managed Herdez’s U.S. division, playing a key role in expanding Mexican brands into the American market. Following his leadership at Herdez, Mr. Hernandez went on to establish two important Mexican food businesses in North America, helping build and grow well-known brands including Del Fuerte and La Gloria in Mexico, as well as La Victoria and Embasa in the United States. His deep industry expertise and passion for Mexican culture continue to guide MexGrocer’s vision and growth.Whether you’re cooking your first recipe, preparing meals for your family, supplying a restaurant, or discovering new flavors, MexGrocer is here to support you.
