History of La Victoria Mexican food salsas products:
La Victoria brand was established on the West Coast in 1917, when the La Baca family first blended and jarred La Victoria Salsa Brava in Los Angeles, with their philosophy in mind: Only the freshest natural products should go into the La Victoria products. As people responded favorably to the fresh taste, in 1941 La Victoria expanded its product line to market the new La Victoria salsa line. Henry Tanklage formed La Victoria Sales Company; introducing into the market the first of salsa hot sauces in the US: Green and red taco and enchilada sauces. By 1946 Tanklage took over the entire La Victoria operation which manufactures ten different hot sauces including Red Salsa Jalapena and Green Chili Salsa.
In 1952 the first commercial taco sauce in introduced by La Victoria Foods in the US. Today in almost a century of producing Mexican food for America, La Victoria has introduced its signature Suprema and Thick N Chunky lines of salsa, to include its tomatillo-based Verde Thick N Chunky, a wide variety of taco sauces, enchilada sauces, green chiles and jalapenos. La Victoria products are distinguished because they are produced in the fields, staying true to the brands commitment to only deliver the best tasting and freshest Mexican food items possible to its large following of loyal consumers. So Today, when you open a jar or bottle of La Victoria salsa, you are opening history. The world has changed, but La Victoria still makes their salsa the same way direct from the fields with the freshest and natural products from their kitchen to yours.
