Nacional de Alimentos y Helados S.A. de C.V. (National Foods & Frozen Foods) was founded on March 19, 1973 in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon Mexico, as a small popsicle factory called “Frutaletas”. Thanks to the vision of its founders, the company debuted in the snack industry with the production of new products. The impact achieved through this was so great that it motivated the company to dedicate themselves 100% to this market. The following years mark a model in diversification of the company, which laid out the bases for what is Bokados today.
The constant development of the brand and its products required new productive and administrative facilities, which brought about a new factory situated in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon, with the most modern technology available.
In January 2007 Bokados found themselves integrating the company with a bottling company called Arca, which has translated into the growth and expansion of the company and the Bokados brand. The same year the brand Mazapan Azteca was also incorporated in the Bokados family. A second factory was inaugurated in 2009 in the city of Obregon Sonora, which incremented the capacity of production and logistics in order to reach more cities in the western part of the country.
