Del Real Foods prepared Carnitas are made by using the traditional cooking methods of Michoacan, a Mexican state which has garnered worldwide recognition for their great tasting Carnitas. Our delicious fried pork can be served as a main dish or as an ingredient in countless number of recipes.
The word "Carnitas" defines what is roasted pork meat cooked gently just below cooking point. Pork carnitas is traditionally made using the upper and lower sections of the front shoulder of the hog. These sections are seasoned to the authentic carnitas flavor by Del Real Foods. The meat has a unique texture that can broken down or pulled apart by hand or by using a fork.
You can enjoy carnitas as a dish alone or make it a perfect ingredient for tamales, tacos, tortas, and burritos.
Del Real Foods Carnitas are sent in a special packaging that keeps them refrigerated during transit to your destination, so you can enjoy them right out of the box, refrigerate, or freeze for later consumption. We only ship Del Real Carnitas from Monday thru Wednesday so they don’t travel during weekends.

my first purchase came and was very pleased on how the package arrived. The second time I ordered. it arrived packed with 2 water bottles and carnitas at room temp. They did not pack with blue ice/or any other ice pack to keep the carnitas frozen. I called to complain on how it arrived and worried about how long the carnitas was at room temp. They were very understanding about my concern and refunded my money and they will addressed this issue to the dept. This will not stop me from continue to order. But this time, I will order by phone and make sure that they deliver this packed with blue ice/or ice pack to keep it frozen on a 2 day shipment. Pros:

Lean, juicy, flavorful and plenty to freeze individual servings. Love Del Real carnitas! They are as good as any we have had in restaurants and better than most. We initially were introduced to them through Costco but they no longer carry them for whatever reason so we were pleased to find them online at MexGrocer. Highly recommend as either a main course or for tacos, enchiladasPros:

Over the years I've tried to get my favorite Mexican restaurant's recipe for their Carnitas with no luck. Also tried many different recipes that didn't measure up. Then... saw these and tried them and they are wonderful. Sautee the pork in a cast iron pan along with some onions. Add some lime juice at the end and you are in heaven. Get your corn tortilla and heat over flame till pliable and add carnitas ,white diced onion, salsa and cilantro . Serve with refried beans and spanish rice and you have the best meal ever! Great for company. Why cook the pork roast when this turns out better without all the work and time. I pulled some of the pork and had enough for 22 tamales. They were delicious and tender with the meat mixed with onion and some homemade mole mixed into the masa. This is a great product. I do not have much opportunities to visit Mexico as I would like to. The taste of Carnitas is the same as if I were in Mexico. Del Real Foods makes a great product here. I buy this every month and it's worth it. Goes well with refried beans, guacamole, and sour cream. I like to fry them well until the pork is crispy. I live on the East Coast so I've gotten some bad batches that I had to call about. Mexgrocer.com sent me some more. I would without a doubt recommend these carnitas to anyone. I honestly could not believe how delicious and authentic tasting they were. I have purchased them at Costco numerous times and have had my mom and friends purchase some too.
