Review for Tex-Mex Fiesta Bake
October 29, 2009
I've made this dish several times for family functions and it always gets gobbled up within minutes! My secret to making this dish a hit is that I sautee the beef and onions together, so that the onions are soft. Also, I use Pico Pica Hot Sauce to season the meat, and I use Ortega hot green chiles, not the mild ones. Also, I use hot La Victoria Taco Sauce, not medium or mild. Once everything is baked, it's not that spicy, but it does have a very good flavor. I personally omitted the olives, because I don't like them, but aside from that, it's a really great recipe that I continually make because I know I'll go home with an empty pan at the end of the night! A definite crowd pleaser!!
