The Best Kind!
This 8" molcajete is superb--almost like Grandma's! It almost needs no curing. It is solid with very small pores--it's the real deal. Worth every penny. Diana Kennedy would approve!

EL MOLCAJETE MEXICANO
La palabra molcajete (mortero) proviene del náhuatl, la lengua de los aztecas: ìmolliî (condimento o salsa) y ìcaxitlî (tazón). La palabra tejolote (mano de mortero) también proviene del náhuatl: ìtetlî (piedra) y ìxolotlî (muñeco). Entre los alimentos que tradicionalmente se preparan en el molcajete se encuentran las salsas y los moles, así como el guacamole. También se utiliza para moler chiles, ajo u otras hierbas y especias para la preparación de alimentos.
Guía rápida: Cómo curar tu molcajete
Lavar bien con agua y jabón.
Tritura el ajo hasta formar una pasta, extiéndela dentro del molcajete y déjala reposar durante la noche.
Enjuagar bien al día siguiente.
Curación adicional (si la caída continúa):
Método de horneado: Untar una pasta de cebolla, ajo y aceite, hornear a 300°F durante 30 minutos, lavar.
Método de cocción: Hervir con agua, sal gruesa y vinagre hasta que se evapore, luego moler el arroz crudo hasta que esté limpio.
Paso final: Moler la sal marina gruesa y el maíz hasta que no queden residuos. Enjuagar — ¡listo para salsa y guacamole!
The best salsa sauce I ever had. Can't do without them. I use it in many dishes from breakfast to dinner. It gives dishes a very unique taste without being to spicy, just enough.
I have been using this salsa for years in California, which is pretty much everywhere. Unfortunately, I moved to Puerto Rico and can't find it, thus why I ordered it. Glady that I was able to find it via your website along with my beloved Salsa Pato. Can't live without them, they have a unique salsa flavor. Love, love them.
I love this hot sauce. It’s nice and spicy and I make amazing chicken or beef enchiladas with it! This most recent time I tried turkey enchiladas and they turned out delicious! I used to live by a Kroger grocery store I could buy them from but now I have to order them online from mexgrocer and it works out fine, great company! Bring them to Giant Eagle!!
