La palabra tamal o tamales proviene de la "lengua náhuatl" azteca que significa "tamalli", que significa pan o pastel de maíz, una masa de maíz cocida al vapor con cualquier tipo de relleno.

Instrucciones para calentar tamales
Microondas: Envuelva cada tamal en una toalla de papel húmeda y colóquelo en un plato apto para microondas. Caliente en el microondas durante 1-2 minutos hasta que esté caliente. Si el tamal está congelado, caliéntelo en el microondas durante 1 minuto adicional. Retire del microondas y déjelo reposar durante 1 minuto para que se enfríe ligeramente.
