Los chiles negros secos Tampico, también conocidos como chile negro seco o mulato, son chiles mexicanos tradicionales secos, conocidos por su color oscuro, apariencia arrugada y sabor profundo e intenso.
El chile negro tiene un nivel de picante suave con un sabor audaz y terroso, y sutiles notas amaderadas. Su nombre proviene de su apariencia oscura, similar a la de una pasa, lo que lo convierte en un ingrediente sabroso para la auténtica cocina mexicana.
Estos chiles secos se usan comúnmente en salsas, adobos, sopas de tortilla, enchiladas, tacos, tostadas, burritos y marinadas. Al hidratarlos y licuarlos, crean salsas suaves con un color intenso y un sabor complejo.

Very good packaging received in great shape. This was a replacement for one I bought from you about a year or two ago that broke during our recent move. So I know good packaging is very important!
So easy to start using because it's pre-cured (think that's what it's called) it's so easy to start using right away.
The Olla makes a BIG difference with the taste of the beans! I also have the smaller version I use to make Cafe De Olla.
My next purchase will be a clay Comal for the tortillas.
