La cajeta quemada o simple, también conocida como dulce de leche, salsa de caramelo o manjar, es perfecta para auténticos postres mexicanos. Un producto muy popular de Coronado. La cajeta se pronuncia "KAH-HEH-TAH". Ideal para preparar alfajores. Crema de leche y caramelo.
CAJETA
La cajeta [KAH-HEH-TAH] es un jarabe o pasta espesa y oscura hecha de azúcar caramelizada y leche; tradicionalmente de cabra, aunque también se usa leche de vaca, en cuyo caso se llama dulce de leche. La cajeta se puede encontrar en varios sabores (principalmente caramelo o quemada, vainilla y vino). Se usa en México y en algunos países de Sudamérica, sobre todo como postre o como aderezo para helados o frutas. En Argentina, Chile, Uruguay y Perú se usa para preparar alfajores (galletas rellenas de caramelo). Postre mexicano.

Very good packaging received in great shape. This was a replacement for one I bought from you about a year or two ago that broke during our recent move. So I know good packaging is very important!
So easy to start using because it's pre-cured (think that's what it's called) it's so easy to start using right away.
The Olla makes a BIG difference with the taste of the beans! I also have the smaller version I use to make Cafe De Olla.
My next purchase will be a clay Comal for the tortillas.
