El mojo criollo es una salsa para marinar carne de res, pollo, cerdo y pescado. Su origen es un misterio. Algunos creen que una salsa similar fue traída a América por los conquistadores españoles y que, una vez allí, la receta original se enriqueció con ingredientes locales, dando como resultado lo que hoy conocemos como mojo criollo. Lo cierto es que, hasta el día de hoy, este adobo especial sigue siendo un favorito en todas las cocinas. El uso del mojo criollo también es saludable, según la revista Diabetic Gourmet, ya que "marinar los alimentos de origen animal antes de asarlos ayuda a reducir la formación de nitrosaminas cancerígenas".

Very good packaging received in great shape. This was a replacement for one I bought from you about a year or two ago that broke during our recent move. So I know good packaging is very important!
So easy to start using because it's pre-cured (think that's what it's called) it's so easy to start using right away.
The Olla makes a BIG difference with the taste of the beans! I also have the smaller version I use to make Cafe De Olla.
My next purchase will be a clay Comal for the tortillas.
