New Mexico Chili Powder. New Mexico Molido ground chili. (Mild) New Mexico Chile (Capsicum Annuum) powder is made from grinding whole, dried New Mexico Chiles including both the seeds and pod. New Mexico Chile Powder provides you with authentic flavor. New Mexico Chiles are also known as Chile Colorado and Chile California are wide, tapered, and the dried form of the Red Anaheim Pepper but hotter. New Mexico Chile has thin flesh and is known for its sweet, earthy flavor with tones of wild cherries. On a heat scale of 1 to 10, the New Mexico Chile ranges from 2-4. New Mexico Chiles are grown in Mexico and are an essential ingredient used in Red Mexican or Southwestern sauces. To ensure superior flavor and aroma, New Mexico Chiles are dried naturally for ten days and then are freshly ground. New Mexico Chile adds character and complexity to a variety of Mexican and Southwestern dishes like burritos, fajitas, tacos, quesadillas and chili. Sprinkle New Mexico Chili over fish or poultry before grilling or baking.
