The Sacred Heart of Jesus Candle
Sacred Heart candle in glass jar.
The Sacred Heart is the representation of God's divine love for humanity and its one of the most famous religious devotions to Jesus physical heart. The devotion to the Sacred Heart highlights Christ's long suffering of the heart, compassion, and unmitigated love towards humanity. It was from a French Roman Catholic Nun by the name of Marguerite Marie Alacoque, that the devotion of the Sacred Heart originates. She said she learned the devotion from Jesus himself when he appeared to her. The Sacred Heart is frequently represented in Christian art and in religious images as a flaming heart shining with divine light (the fire represents the transformative power of divine love), pierced by the lance-wound, surrounded by the crown of thorns, surmounted by a cross and bleeding (which refers to Jesus' death. Sometimes the Sacred Heart is shown shining within Christ's bosom with his wounded hands at the heart. MexGrocer.com brings you a selection of candles dedicated to the devotion of the Sacred Heart. They have a beautiful prayer printed on the back to help you pray with faith and devotion. MexGrocer.com proudly brings you two Sacred Heart candles so you can show your devotion, a tall glass candle to light up for your daily prayers or Veladora (glass candle) to entrust your parents to the Sacred Heart.
CATHOLIC RITUAL OF BRINGING COMUNION TO THE SICK
May the peace of Christ be with you- And also with you. My brother (s) and/or sister (s), to prepare ourselves to receive the sacred mysteries, let us call to mind our sins.
I Confess to almighty God, and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have sinned through my own fault, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in what I have failed to do, and I ask Blessed Mary, ever Virgin and all the Angels and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the Lord our God.
May almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life, Amen.
Let us pray with confidence to the Father in the words our Savior gave us:
Our Father who art in Heaven, hollowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; leave us not into temptation and deliver us from evil. Amen.
(The Minister takes the Host from the Pyx, shows it to the sick person and says:)
This is the Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world; happy are those who are called to his supper. Lord, I am not worthy to receive you, but only say the word and I shall be healed.
(The Minister gives the Host to the sick saying:) The Body of Christ, Amen
(After a moment of silence, say:)
Let us pray: Father almighty and eternal God, our brother (sister) has received the Eucharist with Faith in you and your healing power. May the body and blood of Christ bring him (her) lasting health of mind and body. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ Our Lord, Amen.
