Very nice pot
Overall, this is a very nice pot, and the company's customer service is excellent. I'm sure there are many out there without issues. I ordered this pot, and it was promptly delivered. However, upon opening the box, sadly, it was in multiple pieces.This I feel this was due mostly to UPS, as it landed, rather than being set, on the front steps. I feel the packing could be more robust as well due to clay's fragility. I contacted the company, and after sending pictures of the broken pot, was promptly sent another which arrived in good order. After seasoning the pot, I noticed a hairline crack, which was virtually invisible, until water stood in it for a while. I am currently trying different patching methods.

Below are our recommended steps to properly cure your clay pot before first use:
Soak the outside bottom portion of the pot in cold water for 2 hours.
Fill the pot with cool water, keeping the water level slightly below the rim.
Place on the stove, bring to a gentle boil, and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes.
Turn off the heat and let the water cool completely — preferably overnight.
Discard the water.
Clean the interior using a paste made from coarse salt or baking soda, then rinse thoroughly with water.
Your clay pot is now ready for use.
Important: Do not use dish soap or detergents, as clay is porous and may absorb them. Clean only with water and a plastic scraper or non-metal brush.
