The masa base thick corn tortilla has pinched sides to hold the food and is topped with refried beans, cheese, lettuce, onions, red or green sauce and sour cream. You can also add chorizo, shredded meat or chicken if you wish. Sopes are also called sopitos, picaditas, panuchos, garnachas or memelas.
