Roland® Risotto is an authentic natural arborio rice mix, with no artificial ingredients, imported from Italy. With Roland® Risotto, it is easy to achieve the "al dente" texture, which is the mark of a true Italian risotto. this risotto has added saffron, which imparts a lovely color and fragrance.

Ingredients: Rice, Salt, Yeast Extract, Vegetable Proteins, Dehydrated Vegetables, (Celery, Carrots, Onions), Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Saffron, Cream, Natural Virgin Olive Oil, Cream, Natural Flavoring

Preparation: Roland® Risotto is made by combining the contents of the package with two cups of cold water (approximately a two to one ratio water/rice). Bring to a boil and reduce heat to a simmer. Stir occasionally for about 18 minutes; or, microwave for 10 minutes, stir, and then microwave for 8 minutes more.

SAFFRON

The Saffron is a corm-producing plant (Crocus sativus) native to the Old World, very popular in Spain, having purple or white flowers with orange stigmas. The dried aromatic stigmas of this plant, used to color foods as Risotto and Paella. It is also used as a cooking spice and dyestuff.
Saffron is a moderate or strong orange yellow to moderate orange. Crocus sativus, saffron crocus. The saffron is native chiefly to the Mediterranean region but widely cultivated specially in Spain and Greece.
