Ingredients
2 tomatoes1/2 onion2 cloves of garlic1 tablespoon of oilserrano chile as desiredoregano as desiredthe juice of half a limesalt
Directions
Submerge the tomatoes in boiling water for a few seconds. Peel them, dice them and put them in what will be your salsa bowl.Chop up the onion, chili, and garlic and mix with the tomato.Add the oil and the lime juice and sprinkle with oregano.

This is the real deal!

This is THE authentic recipe for salsa ranchera. There are no other recipes except this one that can claim to be real Mexican salsa ranchera. I've been subjected to salsas that include worchestershire sauce, corn oil, jalapeños instead of serranos, the addition of sugar, etc. Nope. That;s not salsa ranchera. It;s simple. Easy to make and you always make it fresh. Do not keep in the fridge thinking it will be good in two or three days. It won't.
