Salsa casera roja Herdez picante medio, con jitomate, chile, cebolla, ajo y cilantro picados. Salsas Herdez.
Recipe for Baked Nacho Wedges
Ingredients:
8 6" corn tortillas
2 cans (7 oz.) HERDEZ® alsa Casera, drained
1 can (4 oz.) sliced ripe olives, drained
8 tablespoons sliced green onions
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
Nonstick vegetable spray
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray two large cookie sheets with nonstick spray. Place 4 tortillas in a single layer on each cookie sheet. Divide salsa, olives, green onions and cheese evenly among the 8 tortillas. Bake at 375°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted. Remove from oven and cut each tortilla into 4 wedges with kitchen scissors. Serve immediately. 8 appetizer servings.

..this has always been my favorite salsa when I couldn't make my own. The 7 oz can is the best size; the 'jarred' salsa is entirely different.! The salsa does vary however, the last case I bought is almost too 'chunky/thick. Still, I highly recommend the 7 oz can when you can't make your own.I would recommend this item to a friend.

The 7 oz can is the only way to buy this. This same salsa in the glass jar is like all the others. Since my local market has discontinued the 7oz. can I have been ordering on line. My last order was w/ MexGrocer.com since they offered free shipping. Amazon no longer ships this item w/ free shipping. This salsa is the next best thing to my home made which is difficult to make when fresh tomatoes are 'out-of-season.Review for Herdez Mexican Salsa Casera

This is the best authentic salsa from Mexico for a long time. I like the can with easy-open lid, because you use it all at once, with out keeping left overs on the fridge. Try one can of salsa casera with diced avocado, mix it and you get a delicious guacamole dip.Review for Herdez Mexican Salsa Casera
