Cuachalalate by El Sol de Mexico, puts within reach this very famous herb that has been utilized for centuries in Mexico and Centroamerica for its healing properties. Cuachalalate is a tree, main characteristic is its bark, which is the most utilized part. The cuachalalate has a gray, verrucose and wrinkled bark, with cork protuberances. The trees branches are covered with fine hair-like structures and scars from fallen leaves. The name Cuachalalate comes from the name "Cuauchachalatli" which originates from the Nahuatl, Aztec Language and was later hispanized to Cuachalalate. It was used during the Mexican Revolution by soldiers to treat their combat wounds, since its known that Cuachalalate has healing properties, it may not accelerate the healing process but it helps as the wounds are healing so there will be no ugly scaring afterward. Cuachalalate, Cuachalala or Ampbypteryngium adstingens as this tree is commonly known, is used to treat gastritis, gastrointestinal ailments such as ulcers and cutaneous wounds. It is also said that Cuachalalate is known for its cleansing properties as well as detoxifying effects within the circulatory system.

Ways to Use:

Boil about 4-5 pieces of cuachalalate for 5 minutes and let cool for another five before taking.

For ulcers, Cuachalalate should be soaked until the water gets colored, and then be consumed. Depending on how bad your ulcers are, it might sting at first when you first began drinking the tea.

Cold sores or canker sores can be treated by using the cuachalalate infusion as a mouthwash.

In the case of acne wash the area with the water or drink it, for sores and light injuries place the powdered bark or resin on the affected area.

In insect bites or blows, and as a skin healer wash the affected area with cuachalalate for at least 5 days.

If the ovaries or uterus are infected, boil the bark of cuachalalate to use as a compress for at least 5 days.

To treat wounds, acne and skin infections, infusion must be consumed and the cuachalalate in powder form be applied to the affected area.

Lung and respiratory ailments like cough, colds, tonsil inflammation, tuberculosis and the flu can be treated with cuachalalate. Boil the bark until water gets colored and drink infusion four times a day.

For gastrointestinal diseases, by drinking the cuachalalte infusion.

Treat urinary infections by drinking the infusion every day for 20-30 days. Cola de Caballo may be added for better effectiveness.

Siendo la corteza del arbol la parte mas utilizada de esta planta. La corteza es de colorgrisaseo, rugosa y verrugosa, con protuberancias de corcho. Las ramas estan cubiertas con cicatrices de las hojas caidas y puede estar cubierto o pelado por finas estructuras similares a pelos. El nombre Cuachalalate viene del nombre en Nahuatl "Cuauchachalatli" de la lengua de los Aztecas y que despues fue hispanizada como Cuachalalate. El Cuachalalate era usado durante la Revolucion Mexicana por los soldados para tratar sus heridas ya que si bien el Cuachalalate no acelera la cicatrizacion, ayuda a que la piel cicatrice bien y no queden feas marcas en la piel. Cuachalalate, Cuachalala o Ampbypteryngium adstingens como tambien es conocido este arbol, es usado para tratar problemas circulatorios, gastrointestinales como ulceras, gastritis, estomago, asi como enfermedades de los rinones e higado y heridas cutaneas. La gente en Mexico usa el cuachalalate tambien para endurezer sus encias. Se dice que el Cuachalalate es conocido por sus propiedades limpiadoras, asi como sus efectos desintoxicantes atravez del sistema circulatorio.

Sugerencias de como usar

Hierve entre 4 y 5 piezas de cuachalalate por 5 minutos y deja enfriar por otros 5.

Para ulceras, el Cuachalalate debe ser remojado hasta que el agua se pinte de color y luego tomarse. Si tus ulceras estan muy danadas y sensibles, puede que sientas ardor al principio cuando empiezas a tomar el Cuachalalate.

Para tratar enfermedades Bucales aftas o fuegos, haga enjuagues con la infusion de cuachalalate.

Las Enfermedades gastrointestinales pueden ser tratadas tomando la infusion de cuachalalate

Para las Infecciones Urinarias, hay que beber la infusion todos los dias y durante 20-30 dias. Puede agregar cola de caballo para mejor efectividad.

Para las heridas, granos y enfermedades de la Piel hay que tomar y lavar el area afectada con la infusion de la corteza.

Las Enfermedades de la Mujer pueden ser aliviadas usando el cuachalalate como cataplasma.

Trate las efecciones del pulmon y vias respiratorias como tos, catarros, inflamacion de anginas, tuberculosis y resfriados, hierva la cascara hasta que el agua se pinte de color y luego tomarse cuatro veces al dia.

Use cuachalalate en golpes, piquetes de animales venenosos y como cicatrizante lavando la herida o piquete por lo menos durante 5 dias.
